Los Angeles is a great place to shoot because of its abundance of scenic locations, variety of weather conditions and access to the latest technology. Due to Los Angeles being so spread out, while we can go to multiple locations, we will need to narrow down locations prior to our photoshoot.

Santa Monica

Santa Monica is one of the most iconic areas of Los Angeles. This neighborhood has everything you could want for a photoshoot: Ocean Avenue overlooking the beach and The Promenade for a couple solid examples. It’s also picturesque during sunset with views of the ocean.

Griffith Observatory & Park

The Griffith Observatory is a popular spot with stunning views of the city skyline, interesting architecture and statues that make for great background shots. Plus, the famous Hollywood sign is in Griffith Park nearby.

The Santa Monica Pier

The Santa Monica Pier is one of the most iconic spots in Los Angeles. It’s home to an iconic Ferris wheel, a historic carousel and an abundance of food options. The boardwalk features live music, street performers and plenty of people watching opportunities. There are also several other attractions nearby including Santa Monica Beach (which has been featured in countless movies), Muscle Beach (a popular spot for bodybuilders) and Third Street Promenade (a pedestrian mall with shops, restaurants and more).

Culver City

Culver City has some of the nicest cafes and clean interesting urban backgrounds in Los Angeles. It’s laid back with an ever-evolving background of interesting architecture! The best time to go is in early afternoon when there aren’t as many people around. We’ll get some solid shots of you at Culver One, a newer workspace building that looks like it’s from the future, as well as a local bookstore for an intellectual shot.

Sawtelle

If you’re a local you’ll know why I like to take photos here. Sawtelle is a lesser known but solid place to take Los Angeles dating profile photos. With solid bubble tea shops, some unique crêperies, and an abundance of easy and quick asian restaurants, it’s a great spot for us to take a break later in our shoot, and grab a bite (as well as some casual shots of you enjoying a meal on the town – showing you’re a social guy who knows the ins and outs of LA.)

If weather makes the shoot impossible (a hurricane for instance) or both my camera and backup camera break, I’ll reschedule it for free, even if I have to rebook flights and hotel.

As the premiere Los Angeles dating profile photographer, I make sure to spend time with you to prepare for your photoshoot. There are some of the key areas that we will cover.

Choose the right outfit: Wear something that you feel comfortable and confident in. It’s important to show off your personal style, but keep in mind that you want to look attractive and put-together. Avoid clothes with logos or bold patterns that can be distracting. Don’t worry, I’ll provide a style guide that helps you prepare for this.

Consider the location: Choose locations that reflect your interests and personality. If you love nature, consider a park. If you’re a foodie, choose a trendy restaurant or coffee shop. A location that you feel comfortable in will help you feel more relaxed and natural in front of the camera. We’ll discuss this as a part of our check-ins before your photoshoot.

Get plenty of rest: Make sure you get a good night’s sleep the night before your photoshoot. Being well-rested will help you look and feel your best. Remember, your dating photos are intended to show you at your best, and being well rested is a part of being at your best.

Bring props: If you have any props that reflect your personality or interests, bring them along. This can include things like musical instruments, sports equipment, or books.

Have fun: Remember that the photoshoot is an opportunity to showcase your best self and have fun. Try to relax and enjoy the experience. When you feel comfortable and confident, it will show in your photos.
